Chevrolet's mid-range car was delivered in several trim levels. The finest and most lavish is the Bel Air, followed by 210 (Two-ten) and finally 150 (One-fifty). These were cars for most people in the USA in the fifties.
Chevrolet 150
This was a cheap model made for police, public and private car fleets. In addition to the 4-door sedan, you could get variants adapted to the transport of goods. The Chevrolet 150 won the bidding rounds because of price. And the price was pushed down by stripping the cars of all equipment that was not absolutely necessary. The cars were only delivered with the smallest straight-sixes at the time – respectively. 216 and 235 "Blue-Flame" with manual 3-speed gearboxes. Since this was the cheapest model, one would think that the majority would choose it - because it was also available to private individuals. But few private customers chose the Chevy One Fifty.
Chevrolet 210
Most people chose the Chevy 210. It wasn't bigger - and it wasn't very much more lavish than the 150 - not seen with today's eyes, but it had a little more chrome, "bling" and finer seat covers and more. In addition, customers had many more choices. You didn't just have to choose practical variants, but 2-door saloon, convertible and Sport Coupé Hardtop. There was also a 5-door station wagon. All Chevy Two Tens could be delivered with Powerglide Chevrolet's 2-speed automatic transmission at the time. The engine options were inline-sixes – respectively 235 "Blue-Flame" of 115 horses or 125 horses.
Bel Air
The top model Bel Air was delivered in the same variants as the Chevy 210, but with more chrome and basic equipment. Much of what was nice was still optional extras.

The photo of the green car was taken at the 4th of July celebration in Frognerparken 2016. The owner imported the car to Norway from the USA himself. He previously owned a completely similar car – and took back the same registration number. The red 150 was on display at the Ekerberg Market in the spring of 2026. The photo of the blue car was taken at the Oslo Motor Show at the Norwegian Trade Fair in Lillestrøm. The car and its owner have participated in the TV2 program Wunderland, which is about the robber and mugging community.
