304 Berlin
The Peugeot 304 was produced between 1969 and 1980. It was based on the 204 – they have the same wheelbase (259 cm). But the 304 did not become as popular as the smaller 204. The photos of the 304 sedan were taken in the South of France. Here it happens that the occasional 304 appears on the road. The 304 is just under 4 meters long and considered a middle-class car for its time. One can see similarities to the Alfa Romeo Giulia from the same era.
The engine selection consisted of 1,3 liters of 65 HP for the standard 304 and 75 HP for the 304 S. There was also a diesel option.
304 Coupé
It was typical for Peugeot to be able to offer coupé variants in the model range. The coupé was offered both as a 1,3 (65 HP) and 1,3 S (75 HP). It was gutted as a modern 3-door combi-coupe with a rear door.
304 Convertible

The cabriolets are based on the coupe model, only as two seats. Note the special, slightly rounded rear section that it does not share with any of the other variants in the model range. Today it seems that the Cabriolet version is most widespread, probably because they are better cared for and considered better hobby cars. They do well at car meets.

About the pictures
The red car in the first main image was photographed in Céret, France. The white car parked along the street was photographed in Perpignan, France - a place where it has often been parked during the day. It was in remarkably good condition and is unlikely to have lived a lifetime street-parked in France. The other white sedan is a car with low mileage and a sunroof. It has belonged to a private amateur collection in France and recently put up for sale at auction. The asking price was NOK 10. The white coupé is also a French auction car estimated at between NOK 000 and 20. The green 000 Coupé is photographed at a car meet in Perpignan in 30. The two Cabriolets are photographed at Canet-en-Roussillon outside Perpignan in connection with another car meet there. The photo of the break edition was also taken at a car meeting elsewhere in Perpignan.
