I prefer cars that create period colors that I myself recognize, - not cars that are from before the war, those that were forest wrecks even before I was born.
At this autumn's Ekeberg market, I found a great exhibition of cars older than 30 years, among the snuff boxes, car parts, t-shirts and caps. Some were for sale, while others stood by the stalls, not least the car clubs' stalls. I think it's extra great with Norwegian cars, - cars with a complete Norwegian history. Taking care of old vehicles is important.
I have made a photo report of some of the cars I came across on this brilliantly fine autumn day.

1949 Pontiac Streamliner in good condition. Although it looks pristine, I think it must have been partially refurbished and upgraded along the way to look this good.Inside it looks completely complete with original radio, even.This stripped 1967 Citroën DS21 Pallas was for sale. These are very sought after, especially in Europe.In this nice color combination, you can see how well the DS design has stood the test of time.An ingenious design.Made in a time when an electric clock on the dashboard was considered luxury.Pininfarina did a really good job with this Peugeot 504 Coupé Cabriolet. It shared an engine with the sedan version, but could also be ordered with a French V6.Another tribute to Pininfarina. Next to it is a 404 pickup.Audi 100 Coupé S (1970-76), one of the most beautiful Audis ever made - and to be honest, I think Audis were more beautiful in the 70s than today...A beautiful T2 bus/camper.Details from 1979 Volkwagen T2 bus/camper.A Chevy camper from the 70s is as American as Coca-Cola and hamburgers. Goes well with country music, boots and a Stetson hat.This camper has a total weight of over 5 tonnes, but is powered by the same 5,7 liter V8 petrol that was in the vans and Suburbans of the time. In the United States, it is not unusual for a compact car to be hitched to a rear strut when you are out on a trip. Next to the Chevy camper stands a "Little Brother". It is a Norwegian-built "combicamp" which, with its light weight and compactness, could easily be towed by family cars of the time such as Ford Anglia, Opel Kadett and VW bobble.Although it is not scientifically proven, I believe the best Volvos were produced in the period 1971-73. This is one of those, a beautiful 144.Hillman Super Minx, - a "Rootes" car I remember from my own childhood. This model, with panorama rear window, was replaced by a model in 1964 with new windows round the bow.This is a completely untouched 1960 Humber Super Snipe, previously owned by, among others, ship owner Lorenzen. If a Humber Super Snipe is good enough for a shipowner, it's probably good enough for you too...Inside the Super Snipe, walnut and dove colored leather are used. This is timeless British luxury at its best.The Renault club "Club Renault Norvège" provided its own catering van. A Gôelette, previously converted horse transport. In France, more and more people have taken an interest in these cars. It is a good alternative to the Citroën Type H, which is now sold at sky-high prices.A good struggler that few took the trouble to save. The Datsun 1200 was one of the cars that helped give the Japanese a good reputation for reliability.An extremely well maintained 1981 model Ford FIesta 1,1L.
