We start at the stainless steel hood of a DeLorean.
Not far between the rarities at Cars & Coffee.
Cars & Coffee is an informal event where you can come by with your car, have a cup of coffee at Sherryhaugen, look at other cars and move on. I myself had parked "Bulkisen" outside and took my camera with me to find some oddities. Yes, by rarities I don't just mean cheap things, but cars you don't see on the road every day. I have made a small photo report and commented under the photos. I would like to emphasize that I only take pictures of cars and spinners that I like.
I start the trip from the meeting's DeLorean and let it take us back into the past, ... or was it the future?
Alfa Romeo Brera, designed by Italdesign Giugiaro, based on a shortened 159. A beautiful car that I also had the pleasure of studying earlier in the day in my own neighborhood.I sense that I have seen this car before, under another brand, namely the New Opel GT. However, this is a Pontiac Solstice, a roadster built on the same platform as the Opel GT (the GM Kappa platform).Renault Clio V6 and Fiat 500 Abarth. The Clio V6 is a real wolf in sheep's clothing, with a V6 located in front of the rear axle, so physically inside the compartment separated by a plastic cover. This is a real street racer. The air intakes are not just for decoration. A lot of air is needed for cooling. The cover hides the engine, which occupies the entire back seat and trunk. Tough exhaust pipes and air ventilation.1984 Fiat Ritmo 130 TC Abarth originally 130 HP, but trimmed somewhat in relation to this. This car not only to be new looking, it is technically like new. Notice the great rims!Special sports chairs with holes in the seat cushions.Back to the 80s with the DeLorean. Note that the surface is not lacquered, but brushed stainless steel. Other special characteristics are the gull-wing doors and the special rims.A rickety Porsche 968 with yellow headlights and Martini badge suggests a possible prehistory in France, perhaps a campaign model?1973 Simca 1100 are popular in France. Note the preserved details in the wheel covers and trim. Car completely polished inside and out.Decorations on the rims and a nodding dog in the rear window were common extras when this fine Simca 1100 hit the road. It's not every day that we come across an American Dream Classic Camping Trailer. This wagon is actually brand new, built in a nostalgic style. Ready to drive, it weighs just 280 kg and the permitted total weight is 750 kg, so you can also transport camping equipment. You may not be the king of the campsite, but you will definitely be one of the coolest. The boat on the roof accommodates 3 people and can take an engine of 2 HP. The image is taken from American Dream's website (americandreamtrailers.com).A homely idyll, albeit a bit spartan. The wall shelf on the left is optional. Sofa during the day and bed at night. Option to order a TV as additional equipment.A regular Volkswagen converted into a convertible. Note that the original windshield has been retained. From the interior. Bast baskets and flower tassels are great extras in old bubbles.I end the trip with a 1963 Thunderbird and a great Citroën Dyna/Acadiane in the background. Thanks for the look!
