On the first Sunday of every month, French vintage car owners in the Pyrenees-Orientales district gather to display their donations to the public and meet other vintage car owners. I was here last Sunday, the 6th of November. There was a much larger audience here than I have seen at similar events at home in Norway. The meeting place was the port area at Canet-en-Roussillon, just outside Perpignan.
Not for seven sleepers
I arrived a little late, only half an hour before the announced closing time of 12 noon. By then people had already started packing up. It was Sunday and lunchtime. French people's mealtimes are not to be trifled with, especially when the big family lunches are to be eaten on Sundays.
I managed to snap a few of the few cars that hadn't left. Among other rarities such as the Lancia Flaminia GT Coupé and the Panther Kallista. An Opel Kadett Fastback Coupé is not an everyday sight either.
