Caterham took over the production of the Lotus Seven, when it was shut down in 1972. The Caterham 7 can thus be considered a "Continuation Model". The model is still going strong, and has undergone ongoing improvements and upgrades.

It's no secret that not just anyone could find a place in an original Lotus Seven. There is not a lot of space in the Caterham, either. But that's part of the concept.
