Hyundai Motor Company was founded in 1967 and produced the Ford Cortina in parallel with Ford, UK. Their first self-developed car was the Pony, which also found its way to Norway. Hyundai owns a share in KIA and the two companies collaborate on new technology. Hyundai currently has a lead in producing electric vehicles.
