Another crossover?
Another crossover SUV, I thought when Alfa Romeo launched the Stelvio. Would someone who likes Alfa Romeo want to buy a Stelvio instead of Audi or BMW, or possibly Volvo XC60? Or to put it that way: Can Alfa Romeo manage to integrate and present its advantages in an SUV? The design promises well, especially from the front. From the back it's not as exciting.
Conventional premium class
This is a car that shines premium class a long way. Named after Italy's largest national park and with an interior that gives the same feel-good feeling as in, for example, the Giulia. In terms of price, it is completely in line with the competition. On paper, the new 2.0 T engine of 280 HP seems to be a favorable alternative with ZF 8-speed automatic gearboxes. The ZF gearboxes are the same as used by, among others, BMW (ZF's 8HP50 and 8HP75). The best engine option is undoubtedly the 2,8 V6 twin turbo which produces over 500 HP. Most of the cars in this country were imported with diesel engines - 2,2 MultiJet II which produces 209 HP. They enable you to drive in a state-of-the-art way - but still under a pint per mile. On the minus side, it can be said that the Stelvio has not distinguished itself in hybrid and battery technology in the same way as its German competitors (Porsche, BMW, Audi). Alfa Romeo updated the 2020 models with, among other things, a new infotainment system.
