Aston Martin DB4

Aston Martin DB4 GT

Has belonged to Peter Sellers

One of the world's most attractive classic cars is for sale at a reputable dealer in Hertfordshire, England. Price on request. I've seen it, but don't remember exactly what they were supposed to get for this gem. If I remember correctly, it was exactly 3 million GBP (!). This is a DB4 GT from 1961 which after one year was sold to Peter Sellers. He directed and acted in several popular films of the time. In the film "The Wrong Arm of the Law" in 1963, he uses his own car. It's going hard. During the filming, the car was delivered to Aston Martin for a quick engine change. A 4-litre inline six was then installed. Thus, this is the only DB4 in the world with 4,0 instead of 3,7. The car is a GT with a shortened wheelbase. Normally these cars are two-seaters, but not this one. It is a 2+2 seater. Completely unique. There are supposed to be no more than 75 copies of the DB4GT in the world, which brings the price sky high.

About the picture

The picture was taken at the London Concours 2019.

The car is for sale at Nicholas Mee & Co - who specialize in classic Aston Martins. It is about a price range that few can afford. But on the other hand, few cars are actually an investment object. Better than keeping the money in the bank. More fun too. Watch the YouTube feature below!

Fantastic sound!

Take a look at this feature of this great car (same car as featured). The film was taken around the same time as the photo above was taken. Stephen Archer, motoring writer and Aston Martin connoisseur, took this fine car out on the country road. Turn up the volume! That's how a car should sound. – Would had £3…
