Model history

The model was produced between 1967 to 1972. It was launched with the same engine as in the DB6, a 4,0 liter inline six with 280 HP. From model year 1970, the DBS could be delivered with a V8 engine of 320 HP. The V8 engine became popular, and the successor to the DBS was a continuation of the DBS design with only the V8 as an engine option, – called the Aston Martin V8.

About the picture

The photo was taken on the occasion of the London Concours 2019. It is an Aston Martin DBS 5,4 liter V8 painted in Dawn Blue. The car is valued at £125 and is for sale.

Do you remember the crime series "Gullguttene" or also known as "The Persuaders" or "Snobs who work". In the series, Roger Moore played one of the playboys, Brett Sinclair. Immaculately British with a dry-witted line after the villains have been caught. He drove the Aston Martin DBS, a car we never got to see on Norwegian roads. In the film clip below, we see Sir Roger Moore having a touching reunion with his great car from the series.

The model also took part in a James Bond film, "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" from 1969 with George Lazenby as Agent 007. He only got to play in one film.
