Special because it is rare
A rare and very expensive car. The picture has been taken London Concours 2019 at the exhibition to Nicholas Mee, an authorized Aston Martin dealer in Hertfordshire, England. The price tag of the pictured car in 2019 was 2 million - GBP! The reason is that it was only produced in 77 copies, hence the name ONE-77. When production ceased in 2012, the retail price was 1.150 million GBP.
Investment object
As time goes by, the price of these cars increases, of course. It might seem like a really good investment – and perhaps one could add a touch of madness? There is currently another ONE-77 for sale in Germany, priced at 2.289.000 euros. The madness lies in building cars as investment objects – to be put in a garage waiting for their value to increase, rather than being driven by people who appreciate nice cars.
Engines
There is a 7,3 liter V12 in the car which delivers 750 HP and provides a torque of 750 Nm. Among other things, measures have been taken to reduce the weight of the engine. Extensive use of carbon fiber has helped to give the supercar a low weight. It is good for 350 km/h and can do 0-100 in 3.7 seconds.
