Aston Martin has used Vantage as a designation to indicate the flagship of the model series. However, since 2005, Vantage has been launched as a separate model. Vantage 2 stands out as a truly great flagship.
Model history
The latest Aston Martin Vantage has been in production since 2018, and has just received a facelift for the 2025 model year. All cars have the body built around a bonded aluminum chassis for maximum rigidity and strength. The powertrain is a 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 from Mercedes-Benz with 32 valves centrally located at the front with an 8-speed automatic transmission from ZF centrally located at the rear for approximately 50-50 weight distribution. It is worth mentioning that the cars are equipped with an E-Diff system with electronic "torque vectoring" that can distribute the torque between the rear wheels to create optimal traction around the corners.
Variants
From model year 2025, the cars will be produced in the following three variants: Vantage, Vantage S (2025-) and Vantage Roadsters (2020-). In the standard version, the engine power is 665 hp while the S variant produces 680 hp with 800 Nm of torque – and does 0-100 km/h in 3,4 seconds. The V8 engines in previous cars produce 510 hp. The stated acceleration from 0-100 is 3,6 seconds – not bad either. Several customers have chosen the attractive “F1 Edition” package with more power (535 hp) and a nice rear spoiler.

2025 Facelift
The car in the pictures is a pre-facelift model. Facelifted cars have, without an increase in engine power, also had a changed front, new headlights, a new pattern in the grille and air intakes for the brakes. Furthermore, changes have been made to the infotainment system and interior.
Currently (October 2025) there is one car for sale advertised on Finn.no of the latest model – "the first of its kind in Norway", according to the ad text. Incidentally, there are only 17 cars (+/-) of the aforementioned Vantage model registered before the facelift. 5 of these are "F1 Edition".
About the pictures
The photos of the dark gray car were taken at AutoXO ByMedhus when they were based in Ramstad outside Oslo. The blue roadster participated in the Norwegian Sports Car Club's spring mustering at Øvrevoll gallop in 2026.
