Audi TTS 2,0 TFSI

Based on Golf mk5

The Audi TT mk2 looks good, but like its predecessor, many would argue that it is no real sports car. It's a Golf Coupe, many would say - Audi's variant of the Golf-based Corrado? The Audi TT mk2 was powered by a drive unit from the Volkswagen group. The engine options were 1,8 TFSI 160 HP or 2,0 TFSI at 200-211 HP. It was also possible to get the group's 2,0 170 HP TDI. The Audi TT could be supplied with electromagnetically adjustable dampers (Audi's Magnetic Ride) and Quattro - based on the Haldex system which was supplied in the Skoda Octavia Scout, among other things.

Rear spoiler as standard

All Audi TT mk2s were delivered with a rear spoiler. Except for the RS models, the rear spoiler went up either manually, or based on speed. It is unknown whether the spoiler was necessary or not on the mk2, but all TT mk1s were retrofitted with "duck tails" after several cars were blown off the road. They became unstable at speeds above 200 km/h.

TTS and RS

The TTS was delivered with a 2,0 TFSI engine with 272 HP. It received electromagnetic dampers as standard and was lowered by 1 cm, in addition to visual effects. The top model, the RS, got the TT a 2-litre straight-five with 340-360 HP.
