The Chevrolet Motor Car Company was founded in 1911 and later incorporated into GM. Over the years, Chevrolet has been a kind of "people's car brand" in the United States. Although the car models after the war seemed large and expensive to Norwegian eyes, it was sensible cars that got the USA on wheels. Formerly Daewoo, now GM Korea, produces cars sold as Chevrolet.
