Chrysler was started in 1925 by Walter Chrysler. After the war, several American car manufacturers were merged - and many of them were eventually acquired by Chrysler. In 1967, Chrysler acquired Rootes. In 1998, the company was acquired by Daimler-Benz to Daimler Chrysler. In 2014, Fiat took over the company in FCA - Fiat Chrysler Automobiles - which later, in 2021, entered Stellantis.
