De Tomaso was founded in 1959 when Alejandro de Tomaso emigrated from Argentina to Italy. Beyond the 60s, the company began to build sports cars in small series. In the early 70s they entered into a collaboration with Lee Iacocca on the development of the De Tomaso Pantera. Ford bought into the company and sold the De Tomaso Pantera in the US through its Lincoln-Mercury dealers. After Ford pulled out in 1975, De Tomaso bought up and ran Maserati as a subsidiary until 1993. In the 2000s, De Tomaso ran into financial problems. A company in Hong Kong has acquired the rights to the brand name De Tomaso for exclusive sports cars produced in small series.

The Tomaso Longchamp

The collaboration with Ford. Got Ford's 351 V8 with automatic transmission mounted in rear transaxle. A real muscle car.

De Tomaso Pantera

Very few here at home had the opportunity to buy such a car at that time. But today it is a vintage car, and many of those who were kids in the 70s have acquired a real Pantera.

By Tomaso Mangusta

A car that attracts attention everywhere. Unfortunately, the model's handling did not live up to its appearance, so many cars may have disappeared over the years.
