A regular Fiat 850?
The Fiat 850 was the successor to the Fiat 600 and one of Fiat's greatest successes of all time. Unfortunately, we have no pictures of the standard 850 in the archive – only special editions such as the 850 Coupe and 850 Spider. It is typically Italian to make special editions of a standard car. The variants included the original 2-door sedan, the Coupé with several special bodies, the open Spider and a tough little van and bus.

One picture of the 850 – not Fiat, but Seat, which previously built Fiat models under license. The car was on display at the Oslo Motor Show 2025.
Fiat 850 Coupe/Sport Coupe

The 850 Coupe initially had an 843 cc engine with 49 HP, but from 1968 it got a slightly larger engine and was then called the Fiat 850 Sport Coupe. The displacement was increased to 903 cc and 52 HP. The blue car is a Coupe Abarth 1000. These had 64 HP.
Fiat 850 Coupe Vignale

I came across this particular edition in Saint-Cyprien in connection with Rally Tramontagne – a rally for historic cars. This is an 850 Coupé Vignale. Carozzeria Vignale - was a renowned body shop that has made special editions of several exclusive car brands, including Fiat. This is not just car history, - this coupé is also incredibly beautiful - and very rare. It is slightly rally rigged, but no more than that the original character is present.

Fiat 850 Spider/Sport Spider

The Fiat Spider had the same engine as the Coupe – i.e. 843 ccm and 49 HP until 1968, then 903 ccm and 52 HP. The upgraded model with a larger engine was called the Sport Spider. The car pictured is a 1972 model Sport Spider photographed at Exporama. The car was then a great "attraction" for the equipment supplier Holgers.
