The Ford Motor Company was founded in 1903. Henry Ford invented the assembly line and was able to make cars that ordinary people could afford. From the interwar period, Ford established itself in countries all over the world and was able to produce cars that were adapted to markets outside the United States. The most important countries for Norway were Great Britain and Germany. In recent times, we have also started taking in cars from Turkey. Ford previously owned Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover and Aston Martin. Lincoln – Mercury also a car brand under Ford. From 2010 only Lincoln.

Ford Mustang Mach E

Range like a petrol car and one of the best in a car class that has unfortunately been swamped by too many similar SUVs.

Ford Kuga plug-in hybrid

I know Ford as a car manufacturer that puts driving pleasure high on the list, even in regular cars. The Ford Kuga 2,5 PHEV ST-Line is no exception.

When the old ones are the best

If you are looking for a real station wagon, the Ford Mondeo 2,0 TDCI with Powershift and 4-wheel drive is a good choice.

Ford Transit Connect L1

Drivetrain from Ford Focus and practical van solutions from Transit make Transit Connect a Columbi egg for those who need a van without sacrificing driving pleasure.

Ford Transit Custom

Ford Transit Custom

The 2,0 TDCi EcoBlue provides superb torque. The Automat solution (Powershift) is not absolutely recommended. It emits too much vibration and accompanying noise when you are queuing.

Ford Connect 1,5 TDCI 120HK L2

The long version barely comes under 5 metres. It is 1,87 m high and fits right into normal garages. I really liked the drivetrain with Ford's dual clutch solution.

Ford Capri

I think every boy born in the 50s and 60s dreamed of a Ford Capri. Well, actually we dreamed of the Ford Mustang, but the Mustang was out of reach for the vast majority of people, even in dreamland.

Ford 17M/20M P7

Did Ford go too drastic when they designed their new 17M/20M for 1968? One of the fastest facelifts in car history.

Ford Taunus 17 M.

In the 1950s, many people got better finances. Therefore, there was more focus on larger and better equipped family cars. Ford 17m was a strong card in this match.

The Granada's American cousin

The American Granada had absolutely nothing in common with the European - except for the name.

A completely original Anglia

A Ford Anglia at a roadside diner brings back many good memories. That's how it was before. The cars were more stylish and people liked to stop at a roadside cafe.

ford consul 315

Ford Consul 315

Both the car and the marketing were characterized by 60s design and colours. Everything was fashionable, and many car buyers got excited.

taunus

Cool as a Taunus

They looked like American 70s cars, preferably painted in cool colours. For several years, the model was among the best sellers. Then they disappeared from the road.

Morden Park

There are many nice parks in England. Imagine a parking lot full of English cars, colorful parasols, stalls selling slush and cotton candy, picnics and people queuing in front of the ice cream truck.

The fiesta is over

It wasn't the first, but it was the first car to open people's eyes to a new small car class.

Ford GT mk2

When we talk about the new Ford GT, we are actually in the Ferrari class. One might wonder if EcoBoost will do? The engine is beautiful, sitting under the rear window with two separate, recessed exhaust pipes.

Ford GT mk1

In appearance, the Ford GT seems like a retro design, - designed in the same spirit as the 60s icon Ford GT40. Originally the project was introduced as the new GT40, but the rights to the name had been sold.

Ford GT40

It measures exactly 40 inches from the ground up to the roof at the windshield. Hence the name 40 – Ford GT40.

2015- Ford Mustang.

Ford Mustang 6th gen.

A new Ford Mustang 6 with V8 was a classic when it rolled out of the shop. It will probably be attractive in 50 years as well.

2005-2014 Ford Mustang.

Ford Mustang 5th gen.

The most important thing about the Mustang 5 was that it brought back the Mustang soul. You can probably say that Ford had not succeeded in following up the legendary Mustang 1, before the Mustang 5 appeared.

ford

Ford Mustang 3rd gen.

A downsized Mustang that ended up in the shadow of the muscle cars. Interest in these Mustangs has picked up sharply in the United States.

Mustang II

Ford Mustang II

The biggest disappointment among Mustang friends was not primarily that the new Mustang was smaller, but that it could not be supplied with a V8. It wasn't until 1975 that the 302 V8 became an option.

ford

Ford Mustang 1th gen.

Early Ford Mustangs - Mustang 1 - are excellent hobby cars. There is ample access to new and newly overhauled parts. The Mustangs did not end up in the museums. They stayed on the road.

ford

Ford Focus mk3

The British car press likes to vote the Ford Focus as the most enjoyable to drive in its class. The special models ST and RS with 250 HP and 350 HP respectively are good proof of exactly that.

ford

Ford F150

America's best-selling car is a pickup truck. Ford or Chevy? The discussion goes on loudly. But Ford has delivered pickups to most people through several generations.

ford

Ford Granada mk2

The Ford Granada was one of the toughest you could own in the large car class in the 70s and 80s - a real boss's car. The best engines were the 2,3 and 2,8 V6 – perfect Granada engines.

Ford Granada mk1

The new Consul and Granada were not only to replace the M models, but also the English Zephyr and Zodiac. Was produced both in England and Germany.

Ford Sierra

With its soap-like profile, the Ford Sierra helped change automotive design for the 80s and 90s. It came in 1982 and remained on the market for over ten years.

Ford Taunus "TC"

A car with a GXL front, leather seats, vinyl roof, alloy wheels and V6 was a proper executive car. Most had to make do with simpler variants.

ford

Ford P7

Ford decided to renew the P7 after only 4 months. That makes the P7A a rarer car than its successor. I would also add tougher.

Ford P6

The successor to the P4 were two models, the 12M and 15M, still with front-wheel drive and V4 engines.

Ford P5

"Die linie der Vernuft" – harmonious design with triangular headlights, bumper corners that curve around the corners, large windshield and lots of chrome

Ford P4

Was developed by Ford USA, but the management there had no faith in such cars. The project was thus sent to Germany.

ford

Ford Fiesta mk1

There were several great small cars when the Fiesta was launched, but they were no Ford. Many new customers only got their eyes on this car class when the Fiesta arrived.

ford

Ford OSI

Although the cars looked like they could handle both 8 and 12 cylinders, they had normal Ford engines in them. 2,0 and 2,3 V6s were found in the 20M of the time.

capri

Ford Capri III

The third edition of the Ford Capri was little more than a facelift of the Capri II, but both editions were faithful to the original concept from the 60s.

ford

Ford Capri mk1

Capri was built in several places in the world, including in Great Britain, the United States and Germany. And you used the engines you had where they were produced.

Ford Escort mk4

Mk4 could have been a facelifted mk3 - not its own model. The biggest changes can be found inside the cabin and some under the car.

Ford Escort mk3

With front-wheel drive, independent suspension on all wheels and a combi-coupé, Ford had seriously set its sights on the Golf class.

Ford Escort mk2

The Escort mk2 was technically almost exactly the same as the Escort mk1, but got a more contemporary look for mid-70s cars. In retrospect, the mk2 has ended up in the shadow of the mk1 Escort.

Ford Escort mk1

Capri was built in several places in the world, including in Great Britain, the United States and Germany. And they used the engines they had.

Ford Cortina mk2

The Ford Cortina mk2 is easy to drive and fun to drive. Not on the motorway and at high speeds, - but on country roads, preferably on gravel.

Ford Cortina mk1

If one were to say something negative about the Cortina, one could point out that it was a simple construction, even in its day. But the fact that the Cortinas were simple helped make them affordable.

1959-1967 Ford Anglia 105E.

Ford Anglia 105E

Inward-sloping rear windows had a blip of popularity in the late fifties, but disappeared as quickly as they came. Except on Anglia.

Ford Anglia 100E

Perhaps one of the most sensible cars you could buy before 1960. The Ford 100E came in two versions – the Anglia and the Prefect. The most significant difference between them was the number of doors.

Ford Consul 315

Around 1960, the Ford group chose to equip new models with inward-slanting rear windows. One of these was the Consul 315. The model was only produced for a short period between 1961 and 1963.

Ford corsair

The Corsair is considered half a class above the Cortina, and more premium than the Cortina.

Ford Zephyr/Zodiac mk3

Increased length and width, and more horsepower than its predecessor. The base model with a 4-cylinder engine was the Zephyr 4. The Zephyr 6 and Zodiac had straight sixes.

Ford Consul/Zephyr mk2

A large and elegant 6-seater inspired by the cars from the USA. It came in 3 series, the base model Consul with a 4-cylinder engine and the Zephyr/Zodiac with straight sixes.

Ford Consul/Zephyr mk1

The model offered several novelties, such as an independent suspension with Macpherson struts at the front and a new OHV inline-four engine of 47 HP with a 3-speed gearbox with steering gear.

ford

Ford Thunderbird mk3

It is interesting to see the development from the first T-bird to the third. It seems that Ford tried to create models that would follow the original target group from youth to adulthood.

Ford Thunderbird mk1

Why should the family only have one car. In the United States of the 50s, many families could have two cars. One of these could have been a simple two-seater with a V8 engine.

Named after Henry Ford's farm, the Fairlane became one of Ford's greatest successes of all time.

Ford Customline/Crestline

They were the first Ford with panoramic windows and the last with a flattop V8 engine. These models were a transition between the old and the new.
