Model history
The Honda Prelude mk2 was produced between 1983 and 1987. It is a 2-door 2+2 seater sports car. It was delivered with two engine choices, 1,8 liters with 105 HP - and from 1985 a 2-litre 16-valve producing 150 HP. The Prelude weighs about the same as the Civic 6 and will be experienced as sporty with both engine choices.
Enthusiast car
Where does a car from the 80s fit into Terje's car photo gallery? Classical? Special? Exclusive? There is something special about Honda. Honda can make nice engines. The 2-liter produces 150 HP and has a torque of 180 Nm at 5500 revs. Typical Honda, but the engines can withstand revs. Assessed in relation to NVH (Noise – Vibration – Harshness), the Honda engines score well. A 20-year-old Prelude is no status car. It is a car for enthusiasts - and good to drive.

About the pictures
The car in the main picture was photographed at the Øvrevoll gallop on the occasion of Cars and coffee. It has the 1,8 engine. The second Prelude was photographed at the "Hoftreffet" in Vestfold. It belongs to the last production year. Note the painted "duck tail" and the beautiful original rims. The car's 2.0i-16 engine ran very nicely - typical Honda.
