The car man Joseph Frazer knew the car industry from the inside and had been involved in the development of many famous car models for a number of manufacturers. Henry J. Kaiser was an industrialist with extensive experience in production and industrial development. In 1945, the two decided to start production of 2 different car brands. Kaiser was to be a somewhat affordable family car for the mass market, while Frazer was planned as a car brand with an emphasis on luxury.
