Shares technology with the Audi R8
The Lamborghini Huracán and the new Audi R8 share a platform. Well, the Audi R8 is a raw car, but the design doesn't beat Lamborghini. Having the Volkswagen Group at your back has meant a lot for the development of Lamborghini - and not least confidence-building for customers. It's great to see Lamborghinis on the road, - and it looks like the Huracán is most popular at the moment.
Model history
The Huracán has been produced from 2014 until now. It is available in 2 versions, Coupe and Spyder. All with the same type of engine, 5.2-litre V10 without turbo, - but different outputs have been taken out. The model designations indicate the number of horsepower and the number of wheels with drive. Then we have LP610-4, LP580-2 and LP640-4. The latter does 0-100 in a decent 2,9 seconds (in the Coupé variant) and 3,1 (for the Spyder). If you are going to configure a brand new Huracan from 2019 onwards, the Huracan Evo applies. It is slightly facelifted with 640 HP and four-wheel drive. The four-wheel drive system is also controlled electronically and the same as used in the Audi R8. The gearbox is a 7-speed DSG – and the Huracan has a great digital dashboard, probably also a good one from the Volkswagen group. An invisible feature of the EVO is that it has an advanced electronic system for driver assistance - to make the car easier to drive and safer on the road.

About the pictures
The photo gallery contains two LP640-4 Performantes. There is the green one, photographed at the Oslo Motor Show 2018, – and the yellow one that was parked outside the Mayfair Hotel in London. The main photo shows an LP640-4 that was photographed outside AutoXO at Ramstad outside Oslo. Another green car (or the same one) – LP640-4 Performante – was photographed at Sjøflyhavna outside Oslo on the occasion of an outdoor meeting for the Norwegian Sports Car Club. The orange Huracan was photographed in Oslo West. It looks great – even on bad Norwegian winter days. It is an LP580-2. The white Huracan stopped by Rolfstangen one Sunday along with a couple of other sports cars. It is a 610-4. The red wintery car also stopped by Rolfstangen for a photo shoot – where Terje's cars were allowed to take a few photos as well. The yellow car was in a parking garage at the Fornebu gate in 2024. The beautiful car belongs to a famous snowboard star. The photo was taken by Tonje.
