It signals raw power – as if to say – don't drive it if you don't mean it, or something like that. But McLaren also emphasizes driving pleasure at a normal pace on normal country roads to the delight of everyone who likes to drive.
Uncompromisingly sporty
The McLaren 570S is delivered as a Coupé or Spider with a retractable roof. The model belongs to McLaren's Sports Series, where the cars are built with the driver at the centre. Nothing is there without a reason – everything to ensure maximum performance. Extensive use of carbon is used to reduce weight. The cars in the pictures weigh just over 1400 kg. With 570 HP, the power-to-weight ratio is very good.
Variants
The McLaren 570S also has a variant called the 570GT. It has the same drivetrain as the Spider, but more luggage space. All Mclaren 570S have 147 liters of luggage in front, while the 570GT also has 200 liters of luggage behind the seats. The "price" for this is 0,2 seconds more in accelerating from 0-60 mph, but easier to get things you need on the cabin trip.
From the 2018 model year, you could also get the McLaren 570S as a Spider, without rear side windows and with a removable roof – the same concept as the Lamborghini Huracàn and Ferrari 488. Besides the Spider looking tougher, they are also slightly lighter than the coupé version. In McLaren's case, it is about 46 kg - not enough to make a special impact on either performance or consumption.
