Rolls Royce was founded in the early 1900th century and has produced cars that are considered the world's best of all time. In 1973 the company was transformed into a new company which in 1980 was acquired by Vickers - the former British aircraft manufacturer. From 1998 to 2002 Rolls Royce ended up together with Bentley under Volkswagen and from 2003 BMW bought what was left of the car brand.
