Seat 600
I know several Spaniards. When they talk about cars, they almost always come up with the Seat 600 - whether it was the family car that everyone went on holiday in, or the grandparents' car. This is Spain's real people's car! Seat Seiscientos are cars that many Spaniards have fond memories of, and which I often see along the road when I drive around Catalonia.
Built on the Fiat 600
Seat followed Fiat's model program - but not quite identically. When Fiat ended production in 1969 with the Fiat 600 D, Seat continued with the 600 E until 1973. The Fiat 600 D came in 1963 with a 770 ccm engine with 30 hp. From model year 1969, the 600 E came with the same engine.

About the pictures
The car number 42 on the side, participated in a hillclimb in the Lower Pyrenees, France. The owner showed me a fantastically beautiful converted car. The photo was taken in Arles-sur-Tech, France. The beige car was photographed at a car rally in Canet-en-Roussillon outside Perpignan, France. The blue car, a Seat 600 E, was produced between 1969 and 1973. The car is pictured outside a car dealership in Le Boulou, France, 2024.
