The Seat Ateca is based on the same platform as the Audi Q3, Volkswagen Tiguan and Skoda Karoq. It shares production lines with the Q3, but in terms of looks I think the Ateca is most similar to the Tiguan.
Seat has returned to Norway. The cars are made available via rental, leasing and purchase via apps and the Internet. I have driven the Seat Ateca FR. It has a 1,4 liter TSI engine with 150 horsepower, DSG and 4Drive. The engine has so-called Active Cylinder Technology (ACT) which switches off 2 cylinders when the engine is not under load. By making use of this, consumption can be reduced quite a lot on road driving.
Responsive engine, tight chassis and fat 19" wheels invite sporty driving. The sportiness can go a little beyond comfort, especially on potholed and bumpy spring roads. The 150-horsepower suits the 1476-kilogram car well.
Inside, I immediately recognize the dashboard from Seat Leon
Sharp lines in the front. Great light rings in the driving islands.
Cool light circles in the taillights too.
Road driving.
Spatial conditions as in its group brothers. Cars without four-wheel drive get approx. 20 liters more luggage space. But I would never order a Q3/Tiguan or Ateca without four-wheel drive.
