The Spanish build as good Audis as the Germans

It is not very often that we pass 50 km in the same car, but recently it happened. One of the cars in the house, my wife's Audi Q000, recently passed this limit when we were on our way home with two straight-haired dachshunds in the back seat from a dog show in Vestfold.
 
I took some photos when we stopped at the Esso station in Kobbervikdalen outside Drammen. A car that is used every day is rarely so clean and tidy that it is suitable for a car blog, but that can't help.
 
I have previously mentioned the car in one test report, and I can say that I have the same impressions today, as I had then. I also questioned the build quality of a car manufactured at the Seat plant in Barcelona. That is where all the Q3s come from. And after 50 km it is possible to form an impression of the build quality.
 
The car has only had two technical faults which were rectified under warranty. One was that the antenna of the navigation system took off, the other concerned the fixing of a stabilizer bar at the front on the right side. Replacing the GPS antenna meant that large parts of the inventory, including the roof covering, had to be dismantled. If this had happened after the warranty period had expired, the bill would have ended up at NOK 17, i.e. more expensive than what the navigation package cost new.
 
We have so far had no more faults with our Spanish-built Audi than we have had with previous corresponding German Audis and Volkswagens.
 
The drivetrain, the TDI 177 with S-tronic, is identical to the drivetrain that was delivered to the A6 and A4 in the same period. It fits the Q3 very well. For today's facelifted Q3, the TDI 150 HP and 184 HP are offered. On paper, both of these drivetrains would fit the Q3 well. Maybe I can persuade the wife to take a test drive? Hm, the new Q2 looks really good too...
