The Toyota GT86 is a 2+2 sports coupe with features that appeal to enthusiasts. It has a 2 hp 200-liter naturally aspirated flat-four boxer engine with Japanese-sourced transmissions. Aisin, either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic with paddleshifts on the steering wheel that delivers power to the rear wheels via a differential lock. The weight distribution is 53% front and 47% rear, and the boxer engine provides a low center of gravity. 200 hp may not be much in today's car fleet, but considering that the car only weighs 1250 kg, it provides good performance. 0-100 in 7,6 seconds and a top speed of 226 km/h. However, it is not the performance that is this car's greatest strength, but the driving pleasure - how the car behaves on the road and how the performance is delivered - things that appeal to real enthusiasts. Put that way, the Toyota GT86 is not a car that appeals as much to people seeking status and wealth. Surely only real enthusiasts know what lives in these cars. Wolf in sheep's clothing?

Subaru BRZ
The Toyota GT86 and Subaru BRZ are identical cars that were produced at Subaru's manufacturing plant in Gunma, Japan. Toyota owns 20% of Subaru, but the collaboration between the two car manufacturers is based on mutual business interests. The two models are sold under different names in different markets around the world. In Norway, there are 9 Toyota GT86 and 59 Subaru BRZ registered. When an enthusiast starts the car, he will hear the raw sound of a Subaru boxer engine. That is perhaps one reason to choose a car with the Subaru logo. One ects enthusiast may not care much about exterior marks. He knows that it says Subaru on most of the components anyway.
